Clément has 15 years experience in investment banking advising on disposals, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, LBOs, takeover and takeover defense as well as private investments in public equity and restructurings and other complex transactions requiring financial skill and strong project management. Notable transactions include the takeover defense and sale of Mannesmann to Vodafone, the privatization of Maroc Telecom, the public takeover of Filofax and the contested takeover of Queensland Cotton.

Clément founded Charcot Capital in summer 2008 to focus on longstanding clients.

Prior to founding Charcot Capital Clément had been part of the founding team of a privately owned investment banking firm based in London which has since grown to over 150 employees in alternative asset management and in greenhouse gases abatement and clean energy investment with the backing of Citigroup, AIG, Black River and a Middle Eastern Sovereign Investment Fund. Prior to that Clément had been a Vice President at JPMorgan, and an Associate at Wasserstein Perella.

Clément is a graduate of Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris and is FSA registered.

Jean-Benoît has 15 years experience in investment banking advising on public and private transactions including disposals, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, LBOs, takeovers and privatisations. He has advised clients in Western Europe, the United States and in various emerging markets (South America, Eastern Europe and Central Asia).

In 2009, Jean-Benoît joined Charcot Capital to focus on his longstanding corporate finance clients.

Prior to Charcot Capital Jean-Benoît had been part of the founding team of a privately owned investment banking firm based in London which has since grown to over 150 employees in alternative asset management and in greenhouse gases abatement and clean energy investment with the backing of Citigroup, AIG, Black River and a Middle Eastern Sovereign Investment Fund.
